The power steering control valve sends fluid to the power steering cylinder. Control valves can wear and, with their multiple fluid connections, leaks are inevitable. Many control valves are replaced due to what appears to be excess play in the ball stud. The stud used in this valve is 1/2 inch x 20 thread. The stud length is 1 1/8 inch from the face of the boot to the end of the stud. 1 5/8 inch overall lengthfrom casting to end of stud (measuring at the end of the boot). Relay rod end is 1 inch x 18 thread. It is about 1 1/8 inch deep and has threads the whole length of this depth. The pinch bolt on this valve is 3/8 inch x 16 x 1 1/2 inch and is agrade 8 fastener.
