Pair of cantilever chairs – Cesca style – chrome & cane – Italy – 1970s Description: Set of two vintage cantilever chairs in the style of the iconic Cesca design, originally created by Marcel Breuer. These chairs originate from Italy, dating to the 1970s. A matching chair from the same set retained its original paper label indicating Italian production, supporting this attribution. The chairs feature a tubular chromed steel frame with woven cane (rattan) seat and backrest, framed in black lacquered wood. The cantilever construction provides both flexibility and comfort, characteristic of Bauhaus-inspired design. Both chairs are in good vintage condition with normal signs of use. The cane is well preserved and structurally sound. The chrome shows minor wear consistent with age. A timeless and elegant mid-century design set, ideal for modern interiors.
