Smitty Custom Stratocaster – Olympic White – Flamed Roasted Maple – Raw Vintage RV-60

Beautiful Smitty Custom Stratocaster in Olympic White, handmade in the Netherlands by Erik Smid. A highly resonant boutique Strat-style guitar with a stunning flamed roasted maple neck made by Georgius, premium hardware and carefully selected electronics.

The guitar weighs only 3.4 kg and feels lively and responsive even when played unplugged. The neck has a comfortable 42 mm nut width, a 10-inch radius and a very comfortable neck profile measuring 0.82” at the first fret and 0.92” at the twelfth fret. The Jescar medium-jumbo frets provide a smooth, modern playing feel without losing the character of a traditional Strat.

It is currently equipped with Raw Vintage RV-60 pickups. I also have Smitty ’64 and Smitty ’69 or suhr 60 or 63 pickup sets, and either set can be installed instead according to the buyer’s preference.

A tasteful, very light Journeyman-style relic treatment has been added, similar to the subtle ageing found on a Fender Custom Shop Journeyman Relic. The guitar remains in perfect technical condition and was recently professionally set up by my luthier.

I am selling it only because I am reducing my guitar collection.
