Basse dessinée par Carey Nordstrand, oui le fabricant de micros, qui s’est inspiré de la Goya Panther II, basse des années '60.
Fabriquée en Indonésie, contrôlée et réglée en Californie où je l’ai achetée.
Nordstrand a arrêté la fabrication de ces basses. Je pense avoir compris qu'il en fabrique encore uniquement aux USA en mode artisanal.
L’un de ses atouts est son poids : 3kg !!! Elle est également hyper polyvalente avec ses 3 micros Nordstrand.
Je l’ai jouée, aimée tellement que j’en ai deux, des Acinonyx ! Donc je peux me permettre, non sans un léger pincement au cœur, d’en vendre une.

The V2 Acinonyx bass features 3 classic style single coil alnico 5 pickups utilizing our innovative push button pickup switching system. This system utilizes individual on/off switches for each pickup allowing any combination desired. The fourth switch is a series modifier which puts the middle pickup in series with either of the other pickups. Add in a .1mfd tone control(extra dark roll off) and the available tones are thus rooted firmly in the massive fat punch of the OG Acinonyx. History: Inspired by Juan Alderete, reimagined by Carey Nordstrand, the Acinonyx (genus for Cheetah) is a well thought out, modern reinterpretation of the Goya Panther. Carey sorted out the design flaws of the Goya with the problem solving prowess for which he is known. String pull, switch assignments sorted out, Carey developed this bass with ease of tone selection and overall playability in mind, but the ultimate goal is for the bass to be as fun to play as driving a race car.
