MPE midi controller, keyboard, drummen, drumpads, fingerdrumming, ...
MPE staat voor het feit dat je bij het induwen of aanslagen niet alleen de velocity kan bepalen, maar ook kan bewegen, slepen of vegen in een richting en zo verder de evolutie van het geluid beïnvloed. Het is dus nog een stap verder dan enkel aanslaggevoeligheid of after touch waarbij de snelheid waarmee je de 'toets' loslaat klank beïnvloed, er is sprake van drie afzonderlijk instelbare assen xyz.
Deze makers zijn bij de eersten die de Midi 2.0 standaard hebben geïntegreerd in een midicontroller.
Via de gratis software kan je een eigen layout samenstellen. Van verschillende types keyboard layouts, drumpads, combinatie van elementen, maar ook een sequencers, je kan er zelfs meerdere tegelijk laten lopen.
Er wordt momenteel aan een tweede versie gewerkt met meer functionaliteit. Zoals cv/gate, maar als je deze niet nodig hebt is dit perfect om zowel hardware als software/saw of vst's aan te sturen. De belofte is er alvast dat deze versie ook verder ondersteuning zal krijgen. De software en het toetstel zelf werken echter al prima op zich. Dus op zich heb ik geen vervelende bugs of zo tegengekomen tijdens het gebruik.
Het idee is dat je het via de software een aantal presets maakt (tot 32) en de controller nadien als zelfstandige controller kan gebruiken. Zowel via trs/din midi als via USB.
Zeer sterk gebouwd, je kan ook drumsticks gebruiken, zelf deed ik dat zelden omdat ik een gebrek aan gevoel voor ritme heb ...
Zelf verkoop ik deze omdat ik het te weinig gebruik, ik heb een handicap waardoor ik zelden langdurig live muziek maak en ik pijn in de handen krijg. En ik ben aan het investeren in zelf-gemaakte synths e.d. Keuzes, ...
Er zijn behoorlijk wat reviews te vinden, deze van Cuckoo is fijn omdat hij in gaat op de sequencer. (Even in YouTube zoeken naar Erae Touch a different controller Cuckoo)
Het stevige solide toestel heeft een metalen behuizing achteraan en kan gemonteerd worden op een drumstatief.
De drumsticks op de foto zijn enkel voor scale, niet inbegrepen.
Alle originele kabels in originele doos.
Toestel is in quasi nieuwstaat en is nooit buitenshuis gebruikt.
