Description
Released in July 1992, The Criminal Under My Own Hat stands as one of T Bone Burnett’s more ambitious solo efforts. Produced by Burnett himself alongside Bob Neuwirth, the album is often regarded by critics as a return to his songwriting roots, melding stark acoustic moments with more daring, offkilter rock textures.
The album was recorded mostly in Los Angeles and Nashville with a few of the finest musicians around, like Marc Ribot on guitar, Jerry Douglas on dobro, Edgar Meyer on bass and Jim Keltner on drums. It earned industry recognition as it was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Contemporary Folk Album.
For the first time ever on vinyl, The Criminal Under My Own Hat is now available as a limited edition of 1000 numbered copies on red/black marble vinyl and includes an insert with lyrics.
