Specifically, the version with this housing is often associated with the production years around 1983 to 1985 (or immediately thereafter, circa 1986). These cassettes were known for their high Type II quality and the streamlined, silent mechanism. This mechanism was known for its heavy resonance-damping housing and extremely precise tape guidance to minimize phase errors.If there is a cassette considered as a true classic, the XLII-S90 is one of them.Branded as 90 minutes, this cassette is specified as 440 feet which equals 94 minutes!
