Early sixth plate Ambrotype of a baby. It is very unusual to find early 18th century pictures of a child so young. Pasted on caption "Aged 4 month and 11 days"! Please note that the mother is holding the baby straight up for the picture. Lady in a dotted dress. Case re-taped. Case size 9.5 x 8.5 cm.
