Crushing humbucker tone
Huge-sounding humbuckers. The Hagstrom Fantomen comes loaded with a pair of Lundgren-designed pickups for a ferocious tone of maximum clarity. Used by legends such as Meshuggah's Martin Hagström, Lundgren's meticulous pickup construction offers a rich, warm tone with an immersive expressive range. On top of that, they're dynamic. So, no matter how intense or laid back you decide to play, you can trust that you'll always sound your best. Because they're crafted for even the most extreme musical genres. And they bare absolutely no restriction to your performance.
Versatility, enhanced
As mentioned, the Fantomen is super-versatile. But just how versatile is it? Just let the Fantomen's coil tap function do the talking. Activated via a push/pull tone knob, players are able to split the Lundgren-designed humbuckers into single coils, giving your sound a whole new voicing. Switch between the snappy bite of the single-coils, and the warmth and richness of humbucker tone in effortless fashion. And, with a 3-way selector, an entire world of sonic variety lies at your fingertips. So, no matter your preferred style, the Fantomen will excel in any genre.
Riveting playability
Play to perfection. The Hagstrom Fantomen is crafted with a focus on performance. And it shows. An ergonomic, single-cutaway mahogany body offers supreme comfort on stage, along with easy access to the upper frets for those searing solos. So you can indulge in a totally liberating performance, free of restraint.

It's not just the body, though. A sleek mahogany neck offers an exceptionally smooth feel in the palm of your hand, as well as providing sweet sustain with each note you play. It's layered with a silky resinator fretboard. So you can watch your hands glide up and down the entirety of the Fantomen's scale length, and play every riff, chord, and solo with nothing holding you back. This is the peak of performance.
