Description

I decided to sell this beautiful sounding guitar as I am reducing my collection. I own three Martins, and I've come to prefer the shorter scale length of my other two for everyday playing. But I have to admit this OMJM still has the best sound of the 3. These earlier examples have really opened up, and to my ears they sound noticeably better than the brand-new OMJMs I've played in the shops.

This guitar is from 2012 Martin OMJM (John Mayer Signature Model), build #2415, made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. This is the USA-built OMJM, a solid Engelmann spruce top with Martin's antique toner over solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. Over the years the finish has aged into a gorgeous warmer brown that the photos barely do justice to.

Condition: everything is original as per of my best knowledge. There are a few small dings from normal use, and I've tried to photographe every one of them close-up. Electronics work perfectly. A high-quality video of the guitar being played is available on request so you can hear it for yourself.

You're welcome to come try it out in Vianen (NL). If you're further away I'm happy to pack it professionally and ship it safely.

Video of the guitar and sound sample is available at YouTube. Put in the search tool bar: Martin OMJM 2012 | Pure acoustic tone - At4050 + Sm81
