Recensies Amazon:

The author is a recovered anorexic. These are her thoughts as a teenager. They offer us priceless and potentially life saving insights into how sufferers of eating disorders think - a heart rending interplay of lack of self-worth and poetic creativity.

I found this book on recommendation from a counsellor and it turned out to be life changing for me. The author has a genuine insight and understanding of the mental and emotional battles that wages in the mind of someone struggling with eating disorders. She delivers a residential eating disorders recovery course in Swansea and travels worldwide to minister to people in need. A great book for all ages.

This book is easy to read, clearly written and interesting. It's the story of a teenager's journey through anorexia in the late seventies and early eighties, with updates added in 2004. It provides a useful insight to anyone with a professional, personal or passing interest in eating disorders and is full of hope- this is someone who has genuinely, fully, recovered.

This first hand account of living with and through Anorexia Nervosa is very useful for insight for carers and sufferers
