Rare and previously unreleased renditions of tunes familiar and less familiar are presented complete with starts and stops in dramatically different arrangement, and sometimes with significant different lyrics from the classic commercially recorded versions.

Hendrix taped these very private performances in New York City around April of 1968 - at the peak of his artistic powers - shortly before entering the studio to produce Electric Ladyland. This very special gift offers us a precious intimate glimpse into the mind and muse of one of our most important artists. The treasures uncovered here are like the newly discovered works-in-progress of a major poet or a great painter.

Hardcover in near mint condition with dust jacket in very good condition, apart from some minor traces of use. CD included bears some scratches but plays perfectly.
