Sri Tattva Sandarbha - Srila Jiva Gosvami

Discourses on Truth, by Srila Jiva Gosvami, the first book of the Sri-Sat-Sandarbha, translated with commentary by Satya Narayana Dasa and Kundali Dasa. A systematic presentation of Gaudiya Vaisnava acintyabheda-bheda tattva philosophy. Herein the author lays the foundation for his presentation of the other Sandarbhas by establishing the Gaudiya Vaisnava epistemology, a means of acquiring knowledge by sabda-brahman and the supreme pramana (proof) of Vedic evidence. He establishes the pre-eminence of the sattvika Puranas, or fifth Veda, especially Srimad-Bhagavatam, which is based upon the gayatri mantra and is the natural commentary on the Vedanta-sutras. He also discusses the atma, refutation of Buddhism, ten topics of Bhagavatam, refutation of Sankaracharya's impersonalism, etc.
