a parasol base is in fact a "necessary evil". When you buy a new, nice parasol you also need a parasol base. But the traditional parasol bases are in fact products nobody likes. They are heavy and bulky, they stand in the way, they are ugly and can not be moved easily. This conclusion has lead to a splendid challenge for a designer: design a functional base that is an attractive object on its own. Jan melis took up the challenge to design a parasol base people like. New: bubbles in your parasol base. The coupe stimulates the creativity of the user: give your fantasy free play and fill your coupe to your heart's content with champagne on a bed of ice or with beautiful flowers that make your garden even more attractive. Both on parties as well as for daily use the coupe creates a particular atmosphere. The possibilities are endless. This makes that the coupe is never boring.
