Hello reader!
I'm selling this Razer Core v2 EGPU which I bought from a seller in the USA around March. I used it for about 2 months and managed to get some pretty good performance out of it, in combination with a Powercolor Radeon RX 9060xt 16gb (NOT INCLUDED!!). With that card installed and my Framework AMD laptop connected to the EGPU, I was getting a solid 60fps at 4k ultra settings in games like Baldur's Gate 3 (with performance FSR upscaling).
Obviously as an EGPU this thing is subject to bandwidth limitations on the Thunderbolt 3 protocol that it uses, so any card you plug into this will not give you the full performance of the card. However it's certainly good enough to pop a mid-range graphics card into it and use it to turn your laptop into a gaming machine!
The stock fans on the PSU in this thing were noisy as heck, so I opened it up and replaced them with some Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM fans. I also unplugged the thermal sensor attached to the PSU housing that controls the speed of the three fans underneath the EGPU, which was causing them to ramp needlessly (you can just plug this back in if you want). These tweaks made the EGPU a *lot* quieter, while still maintaining reasonable temperatures on the graphics card of about 75 degrees c.
Included in the sale is the Thunderbolt cable I bought to use with the thing, and a standard pc power supply cable.
You can find a bunch of reviews of the Core v2 by searching "Razer Core v2 Review". Before purchasing, make sure you read some of these reviews so you know what you're getting. And also make sure to check that your laptop is compatible with at least Thunderbolt 3! If it doesn't work for you because of compatibility issues, I won't do refunds!
Reason for selling: I ended up just building a compact gaming computer for myself to play games at the tv with, instead of plugging my laptop into this.
