A fantastic piece of early PC gaming history and a great collector's item for fans of classic DOS games and Tom Clancy.

Released in 1987 by Grandslam Entertainment, The Hunt for Red October is a submarine strategy and simulation game based directly on Tom Clancy's famous novel. You take command of the revolutionary nuclear submarine Red October and attempt to defect to the West while avoiding the Soviet Navy, underwater obstacles and mines.

The game combines submarine simulation with strategic gameplay, including sonar, engines, weapons and periscope controls. It is a fascinating example of the ambitious simulation games being produced for home computers during the late 1980s. Contemporary reviews also highlighted its combination of submarine combat, strategy and the Tom Clancy storyline.

This is the original 1987 Grandslam Entertainment PC release, presented in the attractive early-style small Big Box packaging.

The box is in really excellent condition for its age, making this a particularly nice addition to a vintage PC game collection. A great collectible for fans of DOS gaming, Tom Clancy, submarine simulations and classic 1980s computer games.

Note:
this is a 'small PC big box' ;-) - like in the early days of PC 'Big Box' , not the standard big box as u know it 'today'

Sold as pictured , game untested (i dont have a FDD)
