Is there a real-life model this car is based on? I don’t know—my search turned up nothing. But that doesn’t matter, because the combination of pastel yellow, bright blue, and matte black really catches the eye, as do the whitewall tires. This thing looks like it came straight out of an old Disney movie. As they say, there’s no accounting for taste, but this model is right up my alley.

As for the handling, it’s best to draw a veil over that… the model is narrow, tall, long, and heavy, so it demands your full attention. It’s still fun, though—you’re driving in a world all its own, far removed from modern GTs and sports cars.

Bottom line: You have to like it, but this is exactly how I imagine the meaningful reuse of an old design.
