Glenrothes 1995 American Oak 21 Years Earmarked is the second release of the vintage 1995. But this time at an age of 21 years. The vintages of Glenrothes are bottles at there peak of maturation. So this second edition is from that could mature several years more than the first release.
Glenrothes has long been a key component of big brands such as Cutty Sark and Famous Grouse. Its relationship with the former, lead to a two decade-long association with London wine-merchants, Berry Brother's & Rudd. They began to promote the single malt as well, introducing vintage releases like this one. The Glenrothes "brand" was eventually returned to distillery owners, Edrington, in 2017.
This 1995 vintage was matured exclusively 21 Years in American oak casks.
