Springbank’s filling a first-filled French Gaja Barolo barrels from the Wood Expressions series.
This bottling first matured for four years in former refill bourbon barrels, then for another five years in former French First Fill Gaja Barolo barrels. Distilled in 2004 and matured in refilled bourbon casks for four years before being transferred for a further five years into Gaja Barolo casks, bottled in October 2013.
