Château Lagrange is a Third Classified Growth (3ème Grand Cru Classé, classification of 1855) from the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation. For this special collection, the estate selected six vintages, each matured in an exceptional barrel made from the wood of a centuries-old oak tree. The collection contains: 1 × Château Lagrange 2009 – Chêne Morat – 350 years 1 × Château Lagrange 2011 – Chêne Bangor – 370 years 1 × Château Lagrange 2012 – Chêne Aberdeen – 360 years 1 × Château Lagrange 2013 – Chêne Futaie des Clos – 353 years 1 × Château Lagrange 2014 – Chêne Futaie des Clos II – 353 years 1 × Château Lagrange 2015 – Chêne Le Vieux Morat – 350 years What makes this collection truly remarkable is its unique concept. Château Lagrange combined its winemaking expertise with exceptional barrels crafted from rare centuries-old oak trees, some more than 350 years old. Each bottle identifies the historic oak associated with that particular vintage. The six bottles are beautifully displayed in a specially designed wooden case, with the contours of the case inspired by the gravel slopes of the Château Lagrange vineyards. This is therefore much more than a vertical collection of six vintages: it is a fascinating combination of Bordeaux wine, craftsmanship, terroir and centuries of history. The set also includes the original Château Lagrange Collection Remarquable booklet, explaining the story and philosophy behind this extraordinary release.
