Offered in this lot are 12 bottles of Viña Pomal Rioja Reserva from the excellent 2018 vintage.Produced by the historic Bodegas Bilbaínas, Viña Pomal is a classic Rioja Reserva made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. The wine was matured for 18 months in American oak barrels, giving it an elegant and traditional Rioja character.It displays an intense cherry-red colour and expressive aromas of ripe red fruit, vanilla, sweet spices and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is balanced and persistent, with ripe tannins, good structure and a smooth, pleasant finish.A versatile Rioja that pairs beautifully with roast meat, lamb, game, charcuterie, stews and mature cheeses.
