Fermentation lasts between 3 and 5 days, producing a wine with excellent extract. The wine then ages in Vila Nova de Gaia, in vats of around 15,000 liters. The blend was made in March 2022 and bottled in September of the same year.TASTING NOTESA very concentrated ruby red colour, almost opaque at the core. A young, fresh aroma, revealing concentrated red fruits. Notes of ripe cherry, raspberry and black plum, combined to perfection with eucalyptus and a slight hint of cedar. In the mouth we observe notes of cherry and plum, sweet red berries and hints of bergamot, supported by meaty and silky tannins. A wine that is enveloping and harmonious and with exuberante charm.SERVINGPairs beautifully with game, red meat, cheese soufflé, Serra cheese and other fat cheeses, and chocolate desserts. Serve at a temperature between 14ºC and 18ºC. Consume in moderation. We are producers of Douro wines, premium Port Wines, fortified Moscatel wines and a little Olive Oil.The new project that started in the early 90’s of the XX century, had on its base Quinta dos Muros, a centenary estate of the Mansilha family and the Port Wine that was produced there for 4 generations. With a clear vision of the future, we made part of the first group of Douro winegrowers that believed in the Douro potential to make outstanding still wines.Paulo Coutinho has been the head winemaker since 1994. We also count with the expert consultancy from Pascal Chatonnet since 1992 for the Douro wines, and had the privilege to work with Jeremy Bull in the Port wines in the end of the 90´s and first years of the new century.Quality has always been our motto, as can be seen by the countless international awards and 90+ points reviews given to our wines, olive oil and our other services. We are members of The Porto Protocol, a movement whose vision is a a world where companies join efforts and act together to slow and reverse climate change. In May 2022 we installed photovoltaic pannels that will allow us to produce 50% of our electricity needs.During the harvest we reuse the CO2 produced during fermentation to inert vats and "lagares".Our vineyards are under integrated farm management, a farming system that has the objective of producing high quality grapes by using natural resources and regulating mechanisms to replace polluting inputs and to secure sustainable farming.PLEASE NOTE: This is a recurring auction.
