Lore and history of the object:The Marsupilami is a fictional animal from the rainforest of Palombia, first appearing in 1952 in a Spirou and Fantasio adventure entitled "Spirou et les héritiers". Measuring around a metre in height when fully grown, it has a prehensile tail that can be up to eight metres long, which it uses in a multitude of ways: as a means of locomotion, as a spring for leaping, as a defensive weapon or even to fish for its favourite food, piragna. Recognisable by its characteristic cry of "Houba Houba", the Marsupilami is a creature of Herculean strength and great intelligence, living as a family in the heart of the jungle where it fiercely protects its nest and its young from predators and poachers.
