Voor deze eerste creatie in onze Salsepareille & Cie-collectie gewijd aan de creaties van Peyo, zochten we inspiratie in het album "The War of the 7 Fountains". Dit briljante album (onthoud...fonteinen en rivieren van wijn!) en perfect van begin tot eind introduceert een opvallende en vertederende bijrol: de geest van Sir Aldebert de Baufort. Het is dan ook heel natuurlijk dat we het gezicht tussen onze helden, Johan & Peewit, verrast en bang, en Aldebert wilden vertegenwoordigen. Zolang we een geest bij de hand hadden, zouden we niet aarzelen om hem een van de dikke muren van het kasteel te laten oversteken. En omdat de geest van Aldebert normaal gesproken tussen middernacht en het kraaien van de haan (sic) door de gangen van het kasteel loopt, kun jij ook in de schemering een glimp van hem opvangen. Met behulp van de magie van de heks Rachel of eenvoudiger: met fosforescerende verf...? Het mysterie blijft compleet. This brilliant album (remember...fountains and rivers of wine !) and perfect from start to finish introduces a striking and endearing supporting role: the ghost of Sir Aldebert de Baufort.

It is therefore quite natural that we wanted to represent the face to face between our heroes, Johan & Peewit, surprised and frightened, and Aldebert.

As long as we had a ghost on hand, we weren't going to hesitate to let him cross one of the thick walls of the castle.

And because the ghost of Aldebert normally walks in the corridors of the castle between midnight and the cockcrow (sic), you too will be able to catch a glimpse of him in the twilight. Using the magic of the witch Rachel or more simply, using phosphorescent paint...? The mystery remains complete.
