u.s. kit, gas mask, waterproofing, m1 - kaki hoes met inhoud

WWII - US KIT, GAS MASK, WATERPROOFING, M1 - echte gasmasker afdichting kit, M1 uit +- 1942. Formaat: 11 x 13 cm. Deze kit was een onderdeel van de gasmaskertas, bestemd voor het waterdicht maken van het gasmasker. De stoffen kaki-hoes is voorzien van het embleem van het U.S. Chemisch Corps. De set is wellicht niet compleet. In de hoes steekt momenteel een complete ongebruikte en met celofaan verpakte set SCOTCH Acetate Fibre TAPE gemaakt door de Minnesota, Mining &
Manufacturing Company, Saint Paul 6 Minnesota U.S.A. (momenteel gekend als 3M).
Een tweede set tape was al geopend en van één van beide zelfklevende vellen werd een klein stukje weggesneden.

U.S. KIT, GAS MASK, WATERPROOFING, M1 - A drab olive web pouch with single flap and snap measuring approximately 11cm x 13cm. The pouch is stamped to the front flap in black ink "US" with the Chemical Corps emblem of a benzene ring with crossed retorts (glass devices used for distilling) to the background and "Kit, Gas Mask, Waterproofing, M1" to the very front. The inside of the flap is stamped as well with a lot number. Inside 3M-tape (in a sealed envelope.) Very nice example to finish off a collection.
