Introducing… Zenne é Douro.
The day after Christmas 2020, we filled a port cask from the renowned Niepoort with a one-year-old 3 Fonteinenlambik. We bottled this 'single cask port'-lambik by hand on a burgundy bottle and finished it with a high-quality wine cork and with wax. And we have 380 available.
The Zenne é Douro will be presented in a box, accompanied by two other bottles and a glass. First, a beautiful old lambik. At the end of 2021, we filled a soft, yet outspoken three-year-old lambik in the same way as the port lambik. We marked the bottle with a green stripe, as a tribute to the chalk marking of yesteryear. The third bottle is a 'Morgadio da Calçada' tawny from Niepoort. This single harvest port matured for eleven years in an oak barrel before it was bottled in 2020. Finally, the pack also contains an elegant mouth-blown glass.
