Description

📷 Kodak Vest Pocket Model B — Rare Faceplate U-04 (27323) — Doublet Lens — 1932/1934

Rare variant of the Kodak Vest Pocket Model B, manufactured between 1932 and 1934 — one of the last production runs of this iconic folding camera.

This example features faceplate identifier 27323, designated U-04 in Jay Kay's VPK identification system. It is fitted with the Kodak Doublet lens (renamed from Periscopic in September 1931), explicitly identified on the lens surround. The lens aperture is marked using the Unified System (U.S.) scale: f/8 to f/64.

This is the non-autographic version of the VPK, the autographic feature having been dropped in late 1929. The body is finished in black iridescent covering with the sliding release for the camera back.

Specifications:
• Film format: 127
• Lens: Kodak Doublet (f/8 to f/64, U.S. system)
• Faceplate: 27323 — U-04 (Jay Kay system)
• Version: non-autographic
• Body: black iridescent covering
• Shutter release: functional (tested)
• Sold without film

Condition: good overall condition for its age — over 90 years old. Beautiful authentic patina.

A well-documented and sought-after variant among serious VPK collectors. Listed in the 1932–33 and 1934–35 Kodak catalogues; not produced thereafter.

Shipping from Brussels, Belgium. Combined shipping available. Tracked shipping only.
