1. Hate – Hate Kills (Paramount Records – PAS 5031) made in USA 1970 original gatefold 1st pressing LP | vinyl: NM (near mint) | cover: excellent | gatefold -->Psychedelic Rock, Soft RockProg Rock band from Scotland. Formed in Glasgow..internet quote: How is it possible that such an impressive album remained unknown for decades, when a similar (though less important) titles appeared on CD several times? Without a doubt Hate (with their only LP) are one of the most underrated UK progressive bands from early 70’s! This dark, sinister and sometimes psychedelic music resembled a combination of early Procol Harum/Atomic Rooster-like Hammond organ sounds; tasty guitar leads and emotional, Spooky Tooth-like vocals.2. Craft – Craft (Shanghai – HAI 106) made in UK 1984 original 1st pressing LP | vinyl: NM (near mint) | cover: excellent | comes with printed insert. -->Prog Rock, Symphonic Rock. British instrumental progressive rock/symphonic rock trio formed by former The Enid bandmates William Gilmour (keyboards) and Martin Russell (bass) and included drummer Grant McKay Gilmour.Craft were really more of a project than a band. Formed by William Gilmour with Martin Russell shortly after both left THE ENID, the pair added percussionist Grant McKay Gilmour and eventually released a short self-titled instrumental album in 1984 based on half the signs of the zodiac. Rumors of a follow-up circulated for several years, but none was forthcoming.CRAFT are deserving of a place in the Archives due to their highly symphonic style of arrangements, heavy use of keyboards as well as symphonic and simulated symphonic instrumentation, and their strong musical connection to THE ENID. CRAFT should be considered on the far right fringe of symphonic rock however; their music is certainly in the symphonic vein, but except for the drum work of Grant McKay Gilmour, one would be hard-pressed to call their music 'rock'.
