In Belgium they speak of a period before and after dEUS, as if a new era started with that group. With their debut album Worst Case Scenario, the stubborn Antwerpers gave Belgian pop music a huge boost in 1994. Many other talented Flemish groups emerged in the wake of dEUS. Fifteen years later, Worst Case Scenario is still a fascinating rock album that combined the energy of Nirvana with an erratic urge to experiment. On the debut, besides singer / guitarist Tom Barman, Stef Kamil Carlens and Rudy Trouvé were both on board as guitarist. That was two captains too many on the dEUS ship. Carlens and Trouvé left not much later, but on Worst Case Scenario the three egos still bring out the best in each other.
