Behind the Royal Oak, the Millenary is probably Audemars Piguet’s most recognisable watch series and was first introduced in 1995. Named the Millenary to celebrate the impending new millennium, the series’ unique elliptical case design is based on an old 1950’s model from AP’s archives and offers something different for those bored of traditional round case shapes.

It’s also the shape of the Millenary that has allowed Watchmakers at AP to really let loose their creativity, resulting in some stunning iterations that push the boundaries of what’s possible in watch design. From offset dials floating over skeleton movements to dimpled and frosted finishes, the Millenary stands out amongst its traditionally conservative dress-watch competition.
