Louis Cartier designed the Baignore watch in 1912. It is called Baignoire since the case has the same shape as a french bath tub.
The pretty showstopper in the gallery above is a limited edition from 1995. It has the same 18 carat golden case as all the other Baignoire watches. Instead of a golden bracelet or leather strap, Cartier mounted a steel and gold "casque d'or" bracelet on it. Casque d'or means "golden helmet" in French. Refering to the 18 carat golden accents on the bracelet.
It is simple to remove the bracelet and put a leather strap on the case. So you can change the look.

The movement just had a complete service overhaul and new battery (November 2023). So you don't have to change the battery for the next 4 years and the next complete service overhaul is 8 years away.
Most beautiful egg shell (colour) dial (off white) which is in the original colour and really 10/10. No discouloration, cracks, spots or spider.
In their current media campaigns Cartier is putting a lot of attention the beautiful Baignoire. It has all the Cartier dna and is one of the most pretty examples of a shaped watch.
This watch is in top condition. Neither scratches on the case nor on the bracelet with zero (0) stretch in the bracelet. If you don't know better, you would say it is a new watch.
Fits on a 16cm wrist (or smaller).
The watch comes with a most pretty red giftbox and has 12 months warranty.
