Het betreft hier een origineel Amerikaans geleverde Jaguar E-Type Series 1 uit 1964. Hij is uitgevoerd in een (professioneel opnieuw gespoten) ‘Maroon’ bordeauxrode lak en een beige lederen interieur. Een smaakvolle kleurencombinatie die in het echt nog mooier tot zijn recht komt dan op de foto's! In de zon komt de kleur namelijk soms feller over dan in werkelijkheid. Deze iconische auto werd specifiek geleverd in Californië en is daar bijna zijn hele leven gebleven. Door het droge klimaat is hij in zeer goede staat bewaard gebleven. In 2018 verliet de auto Californië en werd hij verscheept naar Nederland en vervolgens is hij op Nederlands kenteken geregistreerd. De eigenaar heeft kosten noch moeite gespaard om deze Jaguar te perfectioneren en in topconditie te brengen. Zo is de motor recent volledig gereviseerd, zijn de brandstofleidingen vervangen en de carburateurs volledig gereviseerd bij ´The Classic Way´ in Hilversum (NL).

De algehele staat is daarom indrukwekkend met een diep glanzend lakwerk en uitstekende afwerking. De carrosserie is solide en schadevrij met goede pasnaden. De chromen raamomlijsting verkeert in goede en originele staat. De voor- en achterbumper zijn opnieuw verchroomd en de chromen spaakwielen zijn vakkundig gepolijst. De instrumenten zoals de snelheidsmeter, toerenteller, koelvloeistof-temperatuur, oliedrukmeter, benzinemeter, voltmeter en zelfs nog een analoog klokje zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit.

Er is veel over zijn Amerikaanse leven terug te vinden in de vele documentatie die aanwezig is. Denk aan oude facturen waarin bijvoorbeeld te zien is dat de auto in Amerika mede onderhouden is door Jaguar specialist Jim Groom. Ook alles wat op Nederlandse bodem is aangepakt is volledig gedocumenteerd door middel van foto's en facturen. Daarnaast zijn de 'Heritage Certificate', handleidingen, informatieve documenten en registratiepapieren aanwezig.
Vandaag de dag, met 9970 mijl op de teller (ongeveer 200 mijl sinds de motorrevisie is voltooid), presenteert de auto zich als een perfect rijdend icoon in zo goed als nieuwe staat. Passend voor iedere verzameling!

This is an original American-delivered 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1. It is finished in (professionally re-sprayed) 'Maroon' burgundy paint and a beige leather interior. A tasteful colour combination that looks even better in real life than in the photos! Indeed, in the sun the colour sometimes appears brighter than in reality. This iconic car was delivered specifically in California and has remained there for almost its entire life. The dry climate kept it in very good condition. In 2018, the car left California and was shipped to the Netherlands and subsequently registered on Dutch registration plates. The owner has spared no expense to perfect this Jaguar and bring it into top condition. For instance, the engine was recently completely overhauled, the fuel lines replaced and the carburettors completely overhauled at ´The Classic Way´ in Hilversum (NL).

The overall condition is therefore impressive with a deep glossy paintwork and excellent finish. The bodywork is solid and damage-free with good seams. The chrome window surround is in good and original condition. The front and rear bumper have been re-chromed and the chrome wire wheels have been expertly polished. The instruments like the speedometer, tachometer, coolant temperature, oil pressure gauge, petrol gauge, voltmeter and even another analogue clock are of very good quality.

Much about its American life can be found in the many documentation present. Think of old invoices showing, for example, that the car was co-maintained in America by Jaguar specialist Jim Groom. Everything that was tackled on Dutch soil is also fully documented through photos and invoices. In addition, the 'Heritage Certificate', manuals, informative documents and registration papers are present.
Today, with 9970 miles on the odometer (about 200 miles since the engine overhaul was completed), the car presents itself as a perfectly driving icon in as good as new condition. Fitting for any collection!
