Denk je aan Amerikaanse sportauto's, dan denk je waarschijnlijk meteen aan de Chevrolet Corvette. Deze legendarische reeks, waarvan momenteel de 8e generatie (C8) wordt geproduceerd, begon met de C1. Wij mogen dit prachtige exemplaar aanbieden: uitgevoerd in 'Roman Red' en 'Snow White' lakwerk met volledig rood vinyl interieur is het een opvallende verschijning. De nette chromen bumpers en accenten rondom de auto maken het plaatje compleet. Het is écht een blik terug in de tijd, pure Amerikaanse klasse op z'n top! Het interieur is goed behouden en beschikt over een nostalgische 'Wonderbar' radio. Dit exemplaar is nieuw geleverd in de Verenigde Staten, in New Jersey om precies te zijn. Daarvan is de originele inspectie-sticker op de voorruit en de kopie 'Certificate of Title' nog aanwezig. In november 2022 werd hij voor het eerst op Nederlands kenteken geregistreerd.

Onder de motorkap ligt een krachtige 283CI (4.6 liter) 'small block' V8 met de meer betrouwbare en gewilde carburateur, goed voor 220 pk bij 4600 toeren en een koppel van 407 Nm bij 3000 toeren. Hieraan gekoppeld, is de optionele handgeschakelde 4-versnellingsbak wat zorgt voor een fantastische rijervaring. Deze Corvette is mooi origineel bewaard gebleven en goed onderhouden. Documentatie is aanwezig, waaronder een oude New Jersey titel, invoerdocumenten en diverse facturen. Hij wordt geleverd met zowel een witte hardtop als een witte softtop.

Algemene informatie over de Chevrolet Corvette C1
In 1953 werd de eerste full-concept tentoongesteld op GM's (General Motors) Motorama in New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Januari. Vervolgens in datzelfde jaar in Juni, rolde het officiële 1e exemplaar voor productie van de band af. In december begon de productie van het 1954 model in de assemblagefabriek in St.Louis, Missouri. In totaal zijn er door de jaren heen 69.015 exemplaren van de Corvette C1 gebouwd.

When you think of American sports cars, you probably immediately think of the Chevrolet Corvette. This legendary series, of which the 8th generation (C8) is currently being produced, started with the C1. We may offer this beautiful example: finished in 'Roman Red' and 'Snow White' paintwork with full red vinyl interior, it is a striking appearance. The neat chrome bumpers and accents around the car complete the picture. It really is a look back in time, pure American class at its best! The interior is well-preserved and features a nostalgic 'Wonderbar' radio. This example was delivered new in the United States, in New Jersey to be precise. From there, the original inspection sticker on the windscreen and the copy 'Certificate of Title' are still present. In November 2022, it was first registered on Dutch registration plates.

Under the bonnet is a powerful 283CI (4.6 litre) 'small block' V8 with the more reliable and sought-after carburettor, good for 220 hp at 4600 rpm and 407 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. Coupled to this, is the optional 4-speed manual transmission which makes for a fantastic driving experience. This Corvette has been beautifully kept original and well maintained. Documentation is present, including an old New Jersey title, import documents and various invoices. It comes with both a white hardtop and a white softtop.
