Voormalig Brits kenteken: EYT 414
Vermoedelijk een van de allerlaatste Minerva-limousines ooit gemaakt.
Zeer solide en originele Minerva 7-zits limousine carrosserie. Oudere restauratie, nu rijklaar.

1938 Minerva model F limousine with 8 cylinder sleeve valve engine designated as M8 for the British market.
  • Chassis No: 87192
  • Former British registration number: EYT 414
  • Believed to be one of the very last Minerva limousines ever made.
  • Very solid and original Minerva 7 seat limousine bodywork.
  • Older restoration, now ready to drive condition.

When new the car was originally registered in the UK in 1938 and spent most of its time there. Nothing much is known of its early history, but it is believed to be one of the pair of Minerva's presented at the 1937 Earls Court London Motorshow.
It is clearly documented that it was acquired by noted dealer Halfway Garages of Reading, Berkshire from a Mr. Hadfield of Salisbury in 1959, having been off the road since 1953. Carrying its registration number EYT414, it was sold to T.I.A. MacDougall of Shandon and in 1967 bought by Bruce Smith of Glasgow who took it off the road for repairs in 1969. Since then it has been stored in its original condition and later acquired by the Mr Vander Stappen collection in Belgium where some sympathetic restoration was carried out in the early 1990s.
In 2018 the car was bought by its current EU owner to recover it back on the road again. A long list of mechanical works were done by vintage car specialists investing more than 20 000 EUR in repairs. After full recommissioning the car has faultlessly passed a couple of thousands kilometers on local events in recent years and is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner!
The car is in smart and solid condition throughout with a well running 4 liter sleeve valve engine supported by four speed gearbox that gives the car a surprising turn of performance. Rich black paintwork with red pin strip accents is in good order having some patina of older restoration. Original Willocoq-Bottin lights and bright work all around are well preserved . Interior at the front is still wearing its original black leather separated by division wall at the rear are fawn Bedford Cord cloth with matching carpets and hides from restoration period. Distinctive features include Art Deco wood cappings on all around interior which are in good shape supplemented with original chrom handles, courtesy lights, bud vase and rear phone by which address the driver at the front.

Car is in Netherlands, near Rotterdam . Can be visited by appointment.
