Mijn projecten zoals Christopherstreet, Den Eikel en Means Factory waren bedoeld als vrijplaatsen, ver weg van de'heterodruk'.
Verf ed uses his pocket camera as a photographic scrapbook of his life and thoughts ......This not Art photography, in fact, despite the photographic surface, this isn't photography ...... It's the need to survive and capture life and thoughts before they explode. ......Verf ed hasn't the time to make compositions or to think about techniques the subjects are passing by at the speed that he hardly can capture him ..... His photography is huge. ..... That makes it impossible to judge them. .... while judging them you are judging life .....

1966; "In 1966 trad ik op veertienjarige leeftijd in dienst bij de firma Aurora in Izegem, een onderneming gemanaged door Roger Vanthournout. Daar zag ik voor het eerst zijn kunstcollectie, met onder andere werken van Salvador Dalí, Magritte, Henru Moore, en Pablo Picasso. Dit was een beslissend moment in mijn leven.

Antipsychiatrie Vlaanderen. Als lid van de werkgroep: MARGINALITEIT. Prof de batselier zorgde voor het eerste officiële contactcentrum voor homoseksuelen, het G.O.C. in de dambruggestraat in Antwerpen.

par et dans le travail de VERF ED. le voyage devient de plus en plus intime et personnel.
Le visiteur est invité à ressentir la tension explicite entre espace privé et espace public.
L'espace littéral devient presque cent ans après T.S.Eliot.
VERF ED des photos. sont conflictuelles et autobiographiques et montrent « l'intérieur » de la vie quotidienne. Dans l'installation 'La vie enfin du bon côté de la vie', le visiteur devient un voyeur et découvre un remarquable morceau de Waste Land.
