A beautiful vintage set of two Wassily chairs, designed by Marcel Breuer and produced by Fasem in Italy, circa 1980s.
The chairs feature the iconic Bauhaus silhouette with a polished tubular chrome frame and black leather sling construction. The design remains one of the most recognizable expressions of modernist furniture: architectural, light, sculptural and timeless.
The black leather is in very good condition with minor scratches overall both chairs in very good condition. The stitching, leather straps and chrome frame give the chairs a strong, authentic presence. Both chairs are stamped Fasem – Italy, confirming the Italian production.
A powerful pair that works beautifully in a modern interior, gallery setting, office, loft or collector’s space.
