In 1899 a new 4-volume edition was published, revised by Edward Step. Of this edition, volume 1 is hereby offered.In Volume 1, 422 plant species are described. It contains 78 full colour illustrations.The exterior of this book (dark green 3/4 leather binding with green leather-covered board) is in very good condition.Gilt lettering and small gilt floral decorations on spine.Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Binding is tight. Minuscule age toning to pages.Some wear to corners and bottom edge. Spine slightly browned.Some foxing to a few of the pages24x17 cm, 269 pages
