Corners and edges are worn. Please study the photographs carefully.Internally a very attractive set. The text blocks are generally clean and well preserved, printed on good-quality laid paper. The portrait of Charles V is present and has a strong impression. Some occasional spotting, browning and other normal traces of age and use may occur.Despite the wear to the bindings, an appealing and complete six-volume 18th-century set, preserved in its uniform historical bindings.William Robertson (1721–1793), Scottish historian and Principal of the University of Edinburgh, was one of the leading historians of the Scottish Enlightenment.
