Van een SLK als deze zult u niet snel een tweede vinden! Mercedes' slogan 'The best or nothing' komt dan ook goed tot zijn recht. Het betreft een luxueus uitgevoerd facelift-model met de begeerde compressor die nieuw geleverd is op 1 augustus 2001 in Duitsland. Te zien is dat de auto uitsluitend in de zomer is gebruikt, de auto is namelijk in prachtige originele conditie: alsof ze gisteren uit de fabriek is komen rollen. De kilometerstand is aantoonbaar laag en het onderhoudsboekje laat zien dat de auto altijd dealer-onderhouden is geweest waarvan in ieder geval tot 2016 bij dezelfde dealer in Schwerin (nabij Hamburg). In de zomer van 2019 is de SLK geïmporteerd naar Nederland. De laatste onderhoudsbeurt is door Mercedes-Benz dealer Wensink uitgevoerd.

De SLK is dankzij de kleur 'Magma Red' een opvallende verschijning. De auto is voorzien van de originele 16" lichtmetalen velgen die nog voorzien zijn van de originele fabrieksbanden waarmee de SLK afgeleverd is. Een Mercedes-Benz staat over het algemeen al voor comfort en deze uitvoering helemaal met vele opties: automatische airconditioning, cruise control, lederen interieur met stoelverwarming. De 5-traps automatische versnellingsbak was destijds vooruitstrevend en is nog altijd een zeer fijne en soepele transmissie. Gekoppeld aan de 2-liter 4-cilindermotor met compressor die de achterwielen aandrijft is de auto een genot om in te rijden met voldoende vermogen: de 164 pk brengt de auto in 8,5 seconden naar 100 km/u. Door het elektrisch bedienbare dak naar beneden te brengen kan genoten worden van de zon en buitenlucht. Een ideale auto om heerlijk in te toeren of mee op vakantie te gaan. Zoals gezegd bevindt de auto zich in topstaat: velgen zonder stoeprandschade, prachtig origineel lakwerk en een kurkdroge motorruimte. Ook het interieur is vrijwel smetteloos. Een auto in topstaat voor een fractie van de nieuwprijs!

Algemene informatie over de Mercedes-Benz SLK R170
De Mercedes-Benz SLK R170 is de eerste generatie SLK die werd gebouwd van 1995 tot 2004. In 2000 kreeg het model een facelift waarbij ook een automatisch transmissie werd toegevoegd aan de productie. De vernieuwde uitvoering kreeg optische vernieuwingen en een grotere brandstoftank van 60 liter. De naam SLK is een afkorting voor 'Sportlich', 'Leicht' en 'Kurz', ofwel sportief, licht en compact. Het was een van de eerste auto's met een metalen klapdak. Met meer dan 300.000 exemplaren is het een zeer succesvol model geweest voor Mercedes.

You will not easily find a second of an SLK like this one! Mercedes' slogan 'The best or nothing' therefore really comes into its own. This is a luxuriously equipped facelift model with the coveted compressor that was delivered new on 1 August 2001 in Germany. You can see that the car was used exclusively in summer, as the car is in beautiful original condition: as if it rolled out of the factory yesterday. The mileage is demonstrably low and the service booklet shows that the car has always been dealer-maintained of which at least until 2016 at the same dealer in Schwerin (near Hamburg). In the summer of 2019, the SLK was imported to the Netherlands. The last service was carried out by Mercedes-Benz dealer Wensink.

Thanks to the 'Magma Red' colour, the SLK is a striking appearance. The car features the original 16-inch alloy wheels that still have the original factory tyres the SLK was delivered with. A Mercedes-Benz already generally stands for comfort and this version all the way with many options: automatic air conditioning, cruise control, leather interior with seat heating. The 5-speed automatic gearbox was progressive at the time and is still a very fine and smooth transmission. Coupled with the 2-litre 4-cylinder compressor engine driving the rear wheels, the car is a pleasure to drive with plenty of power: the 164 hp gets the car to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. By lowering the electrically operated roof, the sun and outdoor air can be enjoyed. An ideal car for great touring or holidaying in. As mentioned, the car is in top condition: rims with no curb damage, beautiful original paintwork and a bone-dry engine compartment. The interior, too, is virtually immaculate. A car in top condition for a fraction of the new price!
